How to Print Barcode Labels

Updated · GearChain Team

Learn how to create and print barcode labels for inventory or assets that need their own scannable identifiers.

Create labels for items that need a scannable identifier. Check the barcode data, label size, and printer settings with one label before printing a full batch.

Steps

  1. Open Print Barcode in GearChain and choose the records or barcode values you want to label.
  2. Choose the barcode format and label layout that match your workflow.
  3. Review the barcode value and any item name or other printed fields in the preview.
  4. Select the paper or label size used by your printer. Avoid fit-to-page scaling when it changes a sheet template.
  5. Print one test label and scan it in the intended inventory form.
  6. Print the remaining labels after confirming both the printed alignment and the saved identifier.
