How to Set Minimum Stock Levels and Restock Alerts

Learn how to use the Minimum Level field to set a restock threshold and receive alerts when inventory reaches the level where you need to reorder.

A minimum stock level tells your team when an item needs attention. Set thresholds around your own consumption and replenishment process rather than using the same value for every item.

Steps

1. Open the inventory form and item you want to monitor.
2. Set the item minimum stock or restock threshold to the quantity your team wants to maintain.
3. Save the item and confirm that its current stock quantity is correct.
4. Check the notification settings and the email address or device your team will use for alerts.
5. Use a sample item to test a stock change around the threshold and review the resulting notification.

If an expected alert is missing, check the threshold, current quantity, account access, and device notification permissions before changing stock records.
