Inventory Tracking with GearChain

Use one shared inventory form to record what an item is, how much stock is available, and where it belongs. Start with a small set of items so you can verify the workflow before importing everything.

Steps

1. Create or select the inventory form your team will use.
2. Add item identifiers, names, quantities, and any location or category fields needed by the team.
3. Scan a barcode or open an item record to record stock coming in or going out.
4. Check that the resulting stock quantity matches the movement you entered.
5. Review item history and enable spreadsheet AutoSync if your team uses a connected sheet.

Check the result

Test a receipt, a stock reduction, and a count correction with a sample item. Agree on how your team will record each type of movement.
